Meet our Trainers
I'm originally from Martha's Vineyard Massachusetts; where I started riding at the age of 4. I started taking lessons at the age of 5, and started competing in the hunter jumper ring. By the age of 12 I had won numerous year end awards. At the age of 16 I trained my first western horse to become hunter jumper with much success. At the age of 17 I went off to attend school at lake Erie college in Ohio for Equine studies. After completion of my bachelors degree I relocated to south GA. For the past 5 years I have competed in local barrel racing events, and training horses. Horses are my life, love ,and passion I look forward to working with you, and your horse!
"Horses have always been my passion helping, and watching my uncle train them the "old ways" as a child, I knew there had to be a better way. So as soon as I could I started reading and learning as much as I could about Natural Horsemanship. I read all I could from Ray Hunt, Buck Brennaman, and the Dorrances and many others. Then I studied the horses as well realizing what they were saying and had been doing not only works, but gives you a willing partner. I have had great success over the years applying their methods of natural horsemanship which uses the horses natural way of moving, and thinking to get optimum performance while maintaining a sensitive, and willing relationship between horse and rider. While I haven't been able to train horses as my main source of income over the years it has always been my most enjoyable side job and hobby. The swtich to finally being able to train full time has become my most rewarding years of work. Along with working with local horse rescues to train and re-home many horses so that they can have a second chance at life. In no way do I know everything there is to know about horses or training, they teach me something new everyday you just have to be willing to watch and listen to what they are saying."
